At CLIIN Robotics, we are always excited to see our technology in action. Recently, we partnered with the team from DOF for a successful pilot, testing our Hull Cleaning Robot and brush tool on real-world challenges.
The task at hand? Removing light slime from hull surfaces. Light slime, often a combination of algae and biofilm, can accumulate on vessels' hulls, leading to increased fuel consumption due to higher drag. The outcome of our pilot? A clean, smooth finish that demonstrates the power and efficiency of our technology in removing light slime and improving hull performance.
This pilot showcased how our Hull Cleaning Robot simplifies the hull maintenance process, delivering excellent results while reducing the environmental impact. By maintaining cleaner hulls, we help vessels optimize fuel efficiency and contribute to sustainable shipping practices. Efficient hull cleaning not only prevents the growth of invasive species but also enhances a vessel's performance and longevity, making it a crucial aspect of marine operations.
